Synopsis:
Morrow Grave was a simple man, until the curse fell upon him. Arma Flair intended to rule the world, until the curse changed her life forever. The curse, of course, was magic; something the gods had given up years ago, and presumed dead and inactive. Viewed as wicked, sinful and vile, those with magical powers cannot live a normal life. However, those with magic are beginning to try to change the world… one death at a time.
Excerpt:
He didn’t have time to consider the thought that the girl might have spoken a language different than his own. He didn’t have time to consider anything before she bucked again, taking advantage of his momentary lapse in attention. He could feel himself losing control of his wild, beautiful lady only seconds before she whipped around and darted forward, directly into the path of the little girl.
Comments:
Please keep in mind that this was created for NaNoWriMo. Completing the challenge is based on word count, not quality. This is far from the worst thing I have ever written, but please do be aware that this is, verbatim, what I wrote for the contest. It has not been edited for mistakes or problems or anything else at this point. I will be making every effort to continue work on it to polish it into something near perfection, but this version is for those that want to see it in progress. Do not expect a novel that stands toe-to-toe with the greats just yet.
How to read:
Click on the link below. You should be prompted to either open the file and read it on your computer, or save it directly to your computer instead. You can also right-click on the link and select “Save link as…” (or something similar on PC) to save it to your computer. Saving it is recommended, as most people will not be able to read the entire story in one sitting! Most operating systems have some kind of PDF reader built in, so you should not need special software to use this file. If you are unable to get it working, let me know and I can try to help. The file should be clean and play nice with your computer to the best of my knowledge. I wouldn’t know how to hack if I wanted to.
If you download it and read it, please do let me know what you think of it! Feedback is my best friend, and the only payment I request for giving you something to read. That’s pretty nice, I think.
